On 15 May, ACRI Mumbai organised a networking meeting and mentoring for culture professionals which saw 40 to 45 professionals from the cultural sector across the city come together to collaborate, network, swap stories and share their knowledge and experiences of this sector with one another.
Prior to the networking meet, the event kickstarted with ACRI Mentor Hours: an exclusive one-on-one mentoring session where five chosen mentees got the opportunity to interact with renowned professionals from the fields of Visual Arts, Theatre, Design and Museums/Heritage. These are sessions where an expert mentor guides interested mentees on various industry-facing issues. Our mentors comprised of Anupa Mehta (Director | Anupa Mehta Arts & Advisory), Deepthi Sasidharan (Art Historian, Curator and Founder Director | Eka Archiving), Joyoti Roy (Head of Marketing and Strategy | CSMVS Museum), Niloufer Sagar (Arts Manager and Producer | Terence Lewis Contemporary Dance Company) and Ruchita Madhok (Founder, Principal | Kahani Designworks) who engaged with our mentees in an hour long discussion.
