Payment Platforms for Artists and Art Managers was a workshop conducted by ACRI Delhi chapter on 10 November 2021. The session was facilitated by Gaurav Singh, General Manager at Kaivalya Plays. In this workshop, Gaurav took us through the different types of payment platforms available in the country, and the process of selecting and setting up these platforms. Through the workshop, Gaurav outlined the difference between payment gateways and apps, and how to pick the right platform according to your business needs and audience type. As a workshop activity, the participants were asked to think like their audience and list down the different payment touchpoints. The participants then discussed the issues or irritants they might face while going through this process. Gaurav then helped the participants understand how to resolve these issues moving forward, and gave his recommendations of payment platforms that could suit their work.
