2nd August 2019 | 5.30pm to 8pm at British Council, Pune
Arts & Cultural Management 101 was the first step of ACRI’s Pune chapter with TIFA Working Studios. The event had a footfall of around 60 people, from directors of organizations to students, working in or curious about arts management and careers in the cultural sector. Each speaker gave an overview of their arts management journey along with explaining the nature of each organisation – an art consultancy and research company, an independent regional theatre company and a national knowledge platform.
We were joined by Rashmi Dhanwani (Founder, The Art X Company), Padmapriya Janakiraman (Project Head, Urban Heritage Documentation, Sahapedia) and Ashish Mehta (Actor & Technical Director, Aaskta Kalamach) as they distinctly mentioned the importance of core values, ethics and standard operating procedures which holds the key towards the successful execution of cultural projects and activities. The financial aspect was also discussed in detail, best practices and industry insights on accessing grants and CSR funding were also specified by the speakers. With factual backing and years of experience in the field of art, the audience took away substantial insights for their own benefit in the near future.
